The way democracy is working in the world, especially in India has thrown up several issues some of them raising doubts about the very viability of the idea of democracy. Demcracy has either become a prisoner of the institutions it is supposed to be built with or their functioning has become unsatisfactory.
There seems to be a need to create new institutions to ensure that democracy is not hijacked by its own process.
That set me thinking.
